The department of
Microbiology organized one day in house guest lecture on the topic “Beat the
Plastics” in the intention of create awareness about Environmental Health
and importance of conservation of our nature to the students of Microbiology
department under DBT STAR College Scheme on 26.09.2023. The lecture was
delivered by Dr. M. Poongothai, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology,
Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College she was highlighted about the plastic
pollution, how the plastics spoiled our environment and how to conserve it to
the students. Out of this lecture students were gained robust knowledge about importance
of our Environment and necessity of conservation. Totally 250 students were
benefited out this programme.
